Bryce Canyon – 6/19

Bryce Canyon is probably our favorite spot so far. The views were incredible and the terrain/formations are different than what we’ve seen at other sites. We were a little worn out from the pace of the trip so we decided to do a short hike after having lunch in the common area. The plan was to descend from Sunrise Point around Queens Garden Trail and up Wall Street to Sunset Point.

Due to some hiking fatigue and a warmer than normal day several of us were just not as enthusiastic about conquering another trail. This was especially true for Benjamin who was refusing to walk! We packed a ton of water, soaked ourselves in sunscreen and headed off. What was a slow start quickly turned to excitement as headed down in to the canyon. If you are ever in the area this loop is an absolute must hike.

After surviving Wall Street at Bryce we planned to hit a waterfall on the way home. It wasn’t a big fall but 1 mile round trip form the road and the kids enjoyed playing in the water.
